Luke 14:27 says, “And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.” Jesus asks for everything. Being a follower of Jesus Christ means that your life is no longer your own. The bible says that we have to die to ourselves so that His life can be revealed in us. Simply put, it’s not about me anymore. Join Perry Noble for the series No Perfect People Allowed.
About the Series: No Perfect People Allowed
- Week 1: Come and See
One of the most powerful phrases in all of scripture is “come and see”. Jesus invites all of us, no matter how broken and imperfect, to come and experience wholeness and fullness in a relationship with the Creator of the universe. As we grow in our faith we get the opportunity and privilege to invite others to “come and see.” Join Perry Noble for the series No Perfect People Allowed.
- Week 2: Come & Die
Luke 14:27 says, “And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.” Jesus asks for everything. Being a follower of Jesus Christ means that your life is no longer your own. The bible says that we have to die to ourselves so that His life can be revealed in us. Simply put, it’s not about me anymore. Join Perry Noble for the series No Perfect People Allowed.
- Week 3: Go and Tell
Many perceive evangelism as a specialized field practiced by the few who have that extraordinary gift. But the truth is, evangelism is not optional for Christ followers and it’s not a gift reserved for the selected few. You don’t have to be a preacher or have a certain level of education to be an evangelist. As Christ followers we simply have to tell our story to our friends and relatives. That’s the heart of evangelism. It’s sharing the good news that Jesus changed our lives. We can all do that. Join Perry Noble for the series No Perfect People Allowed.
- Week 4: Impossible
It is impossible for us to fulfill the prophets, follow the law, keep all the commandments and be better than the Pharisees, but Jesus did all this and more. Jesus did everything we could not do so that we could have everything we needed most. While we were dead in our sin, God sent His one and only Son to pay the penalty for our sin so that we might abundantly live now and for eternity. We do not claim our inheritance by our goodness but by believing and receiving His free gift of eternal life.
- Week 5: Forgive & Live
How do we forgive like Jesus? The Bible says that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. As recipients of such undeserved forgiveness, how can we allow anger toward a friend or family member grow into bitterness? Is it possible to forgive and forget? Is saying, “I forgive, but I can’t forget,” just another way of saying “I will never forgive”? And once we forgive, is trust automatically restored? These questions must be wrestled to the ground. In Matthew 6:14-15 the Bible says, “For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Are we forgiving others as Jesus forgave us? Join Perry Noble for the series No Perfect People Allowed.
